Love Island reunites as Varnell Hill and The Gentlemen return

Season 8 gets its final reckoning with a reunion streaming August 31 on Peacock. The special follows a record-setting run that NBCUniversal says made Love Island USA the top streaming reality series for five consecutive weeks.

Tommy Davidson’s Varnell Hill steps out of Martin and into his own eight-episode comedy on September 1. The Paramount+ series follows the larger-than-life host behind the scenes of his long-running late-night show, where staying relevant may be harder than becoming famous.

Season 2 arrives in full September 3 on Hulu. Russ’s fake-quarterback act is finally drawing serious suspicion, and the person best positioned to save Chad Powers is Ricky—the person least interested in helping him.

Eddie and Susie expand their criminal enterprise when Season 2 returns September 3 on Netflix, taking the operation to Italy and into conflict with the Mafia. Netflix has already confirmed a third season, so this power grab is only getting started.

Judith, Suzie, and Becks reunite September 6 for another murder investigation alongside Detective Tanika Malik. Season 3 airs on PBS and streams on PBS.org and the PBS app.

Lesley Manville returns as editor-turned-sleuth Susan Ryeland on September 6 in the third and final mystery in the series. The new case begins when the Atticus Pünd novel she has been hired to edit starts echoing a real murder. It premieres on MASTERPIECE on PBS.

Netflix extended its partnership with Shonda Rhimes and Shondaland in a new multiyear deal announced August 25. The agreement expands beyond series and films into games, merchandise, and live events, while Bridgerton Season 5 is in production.

Season 3 arrived August 28 on Prime Video after last week’s edition went live. Betty returns to Bogotá and an Ecomoda plagiarism crisis while trying to build an independent life beyond Armando; all ten episodes are available now.
